Child Abuse & Domestic Violence Training Seminar
Sign up now for the PsychLaw 20-hour training seminar on child abuse and domestic violence that satisfies the requirements for initial training under C.R.S. § 14-10-127.5 as amended by HB 23-1178. This seminar provides 10 hours of child abuse training and 10 hours of domestic violence training. Participants can register below for the video on-demand training sessions.
This PsychLaw training and program relies on evidence-based and peer-reviewed research drawn from recognized experts in the subject matter areas outlined in the Keeping Children Safe from Family Violence Act of 2022 as codified in 34 U.S.C. § 10446(k)(5):
- child sexual abuse;
- physical abuse;
- emotional abuse;
- coercive control;
- implicit and explicit bias including biases relating to parents with disabilities;
- trauma;
- long-term and short-term impacts of domestic violence and child abuse on children; and
- victim and perpetrator behavioral patterns and relationship dynamics within the cycle of violence.
Participants will be provided with a complete reference list for all cited research as well as online access to the video recordings for each training session. Participants will need to pass a post-viewing test by 80% or more to gain access to the certification of completion.
The cost of attendance is $250 for the complete 20-hour seminar and $150 if attending just the 10-hour child abuse training or the 10-hour domestic violence training.
